Painting the Fence, an easy and fun outdoor activity for kids

A friend of mine told me about this activity and I have to say its great.  All you need are clean paint brushes, your backyard wooden fence and a bucket of water.  

I’m telling you its amazing how something so simple can amuse children for hours.  I tried this activity with my boys and they loved it.  I just gave them the brushes, and they started painting happy faces all over the fence.  They thought it was pretty amazing that 2 minutes later, they had a fresh new canvas.  

It allowed them to be creative and kept them cooled off at the same time.  Plus, it was a pretty easy clean-up activity.  Well, the kids got a little wet, but on a hot day thats not so bad.

Try this fun activity, your kids will love it.

Favourite Baby Shower Gifts

Being a mom of three boys, some of my friends have asked me which baby products I loved and used the most.  

My answer is the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquaruim Crib Toy and the Fisher Price Soothing Bouncy seat.  These are two products that would make great baby shower gifts and are by far the products I used the most. 

The Ocean Wonders Aquarium would aid in helping my boys fall asleep in their crib, while watching the fish swim to different melodies. 

The bouncy seat served many purposes, they slept, watched TV, and played in the chair.  It’s a mommy’s dream gift.  It gave me time to catch on laundry and prepare dinner.  I only wish they made the chair in an adult size!   

I’m sure that mothers out there would love to hear of favourite gifts or baby products you received that worked well for you, so please feel free to add your thoughts and comments.

TV doesn’t have to be bad for children

I just read a great article about Treehouse TV, and I have to agree.  I love the channel, it is the only TV my boys watch.  It is educational and entertaining. 

As well, Treehouse TV’s  internet site is packed with great games that allow toddlers to easily learn basic computer skills.

Sheryl Crow adopts baby boy

Family fun

Do you have a little boy??  Then you must know about Thomas the Tank Engine.  I have 3 little guys in my house and there is not a day that goes by, that I’m not putting together a train track so that Thomas, Percy, James and all the Sodor friends can travel to a great adventure.
