Curious George Dolls Recalled after Report of Contamination
October 11, 2007The article states, “Marvel said it was taking action after the advocacy group Centre for Environmental Health said it found a Curious George doll containing 10 times the legally allowed lead level. It said it had asked the centre “for their help in identifying the product they tested and the full details of their testing.”
“In the meantime, we have halted all shipments of our Curious George product line and are pulling various samples from the factory for rush lead testing,” Marvel said.”

Health Canada issues an advisory on cold medicine for children under 2
October 11, 2007“Before using over-the-counter cough and cold remedies in children under two years of age, Health Canada urges caregivers to consult a health-care practitioner to assure that their use is safe and appropriate,” reads the release.
The article goes on to list a number of recalls in Canada and the United States. The release continues to say, “many of these products contain the same medicinal ingredient(s), and giving more than one product with the same ingredient or multiple doses of the same product could lead to an overdose.”
