“When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock,” De Laurentiis, 37, admitted. “I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘there has got to be a mistake.’ “

I just hope that I can be a good mom,” she said, adding that, so far, she is craving “lots of starches.”

Four Tips to Potty Training Success

March 3, 2008

Here are some tips I used when I potty trained my boys;

1) Be constant: Once you have decided to begin potty training, there should be no going back. Going back and forth from diapers to training pants will only confuse your child.

2) Be Patient: Accidents are going to happen. There will be good and bad days. Just try to keep calm. This will make it smoother and more rewarding for both of you.

3) Be Positive: Keep encouraging your child to sit on the toilet, even if nothing happens. This will build confident in your child.

4) Let your child take the first step: If your child can tell you that he is wet or has to have a diaper change. It’s time to begin.
